Salted butter caramel isn’t just a flavor in Brittany—it’s an identity, a heritage, and a source of regional pride. Popularized in the 1970s by chocolatier Henri Le Roux, who introduced it to the whole world, salted butter caramel has become the emblem of Breton gastronomy, just like crêpes or kouign-amann.
To craft their version, Marie and Camil pursued excellence: they chose Dupont salted butter caramel from Isigny, a renowned Norman artisan whose caramel know-how is beyond question, and the Guérande fleur de sel—sea salt hand-harvested in the Breton salt marshes.
